Udupi:
Recognising his long-standing contribution to Indian hockey, discipline, dedication, and the honour he has brought to the nation through sports, Tulunada Rakshana Vedike, Udupi District Unit, accorded a grand felicitation to former Hockey India player Adrian D’Souza.
The felicitation ceremony was held on Thursday, 05 February 2026, at the Tulunada Rakshana Vedike District Office in Udupi, under the presidentship of Udupi District President Franky D’Souza.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, State President Yogish Shetty Jappu said that Adrian D’Souza’s achievements in hockey stand as a great source of inspiration for young sportspersons. His dedication and hard work have brought pride not only to the region but also to the country’s sporting fraternity. He added that identifying and honouring sportspersons connected to the soil of Tulunadu, while encouraging the younger generation to take up sports, is one of the key objectives of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike.
Accepting the honour, Adrian D’Souza expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Tulunada Rakshana Vedike for recognising his sporting journey. He stated that such honours motivate him to further involve himself in sports promotion and social service activities in the future.
