Nrithya Sudha (R), a prestigious Bharatanatyam and Music institution based in Mangaluru, proudly presents the Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of Vidushi Shriya Rao Sannayya on Sunday, 22nd February 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Town Hall, Mangaluru.
Shriya Rao Sannayya is the daughter and disciple of renowned Guru Vidushi Soumya Sudhindra Rao and Dr. Sudhindra Rao S. Currently pursuing her first year B.Sc. in Visual Communication and Computer Animation at St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, Shriya is a dedicated and passionate classical artist.
Having successfully completed her Vidwat final examinations in 2025, Shriya has consistently showcased her talent through numerous solo and group performances across prestigious platforms in Karnataka and beyond. She has performed at Yuva Nrityotsava, Nritya Shankara Series at Shankaranarayana Temple, Karavali Utsava, Rajangana, Alvas Nudisiri, and various charitable events. Notably, she delivered a special duet performance titled “Matruja” conceptualized on the mother-child relationship along with her Guru and mother.
Her remarkable performance at the Yuva Brigade event in Mumbai earned her the “Yuva Kalavide” (Young Artist) Award. She was also honored with the Exceptional Service Award for her leadership as President of the Center for Inter-Religious Harmony (2024). Apart from dance, she is learning Mridangam under Vidwan Ravi Kumar and has trained in Carnatic vocal under Vidwan Krishna Acharya. Shriya has also acted in the Kannada feature film “Panigrahana” and has worked as a professional model.
The Rangapravesha will be held in the gracious presence of distinguished guests including Natyarani Shantala Awardee Natyacharya Guru Ullal Mohan Kumar, Karnataka Rajyotsava Awardee Natyacharya Prof. K. Rammoorthy Rao (Director, Noopur Kalavidaru Samskrutika Trust, Mysuru), and Sri Patla Guttu Sathish Shetty, Founder of Yaksha Druva Patia Foundation, Mangaluru.
The musical ensemble for the evening includes:

Founded in 2005 by Guru Vidushi Soumya Sudhindra Rao at Katapady, Nrithya Sudha (R) has been committed to promoting Bharatanatyam and nurturing young talent. With branches in Mangaluru and Udupi, the institution provides comprehensive training in both practical and theoretical aspects of classical dance, including free training for underprivileged students. The institution regularly organizes cultural events such as Nithyotkarsha and Nrithya Sudharpanam to encourage emerging artists.
